FILTER FLUSHER model FFC3S PERFORMANCE
Based on a filter cleaning 5/7/22. Please note the following:
1) System cleaned is a Hayward unit supplied by Shasta Pools in 2005 with 8 cartridges. Each cartridge is 7” outside diameter, 3” inside diameter and 19-5/8” long.
2) Tasks were performed in no particular rush but attention was paid to being efficient as if servicing someone else’s pool for profit.
3) Times listed are in minutes and seconds i.e. 6:01 is 6 minutes and 1 second.
4) The first number is the time required for the task described. The second number (in parentheses) is the total elapsed time at the end of the task described.
5) Peak in-floor cleaning system pressure before servicing was about 21 psi and about 18 psi after.
6) Taking the Filter Flusher from my garage to my patio through my house involves negotiating two self-closing doors. I estimate that is roughly equivalent to taking the unit from a vehicle parked at the curb to the work site and back.
7) Time to exchange cartridges includes several seconds to access my phone and operate the stopwatch function after starting the cleaning cycle.
8) Typical time to clean each cartridge was about 7-1/4 minutes and of that time typically about 6-3/4 minutes was spent sitting watching the machine work. Said another way that’s more than 50 minutes available during this cleaning session to perform additional value added services.
